Session Information

The exploration of wave propagation in nonlinear and disordered media constitutes a fundamental frontier in modern wave physics, bridging photonics, acoustics, electromagnetics, and condensed matter systems. This session aims to bring together researchers working on both foundational theories and emerging applications of wave dynamics in complex environments where nonlinearity and disorder play defining roles.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Anderson localization and nonlinearity-induced transport phenomena; solitons and self-trapped waves in disordered lattices; random lasing and coherent feedback in scattering systems; wave control and imaging through nonlinear and opaque media; metamaterials and photonic structures with designed nonlinearity or disorder. Contributions from theoretical, computational, and experimental perspectives are all welcome. This session is intended to serve as a broad and inclusive forum that connects researchers across wave physics, materials science, and engineering, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration in understanding and harnessing waves in nonlinear and disordered landscapes.
