PIERS —— A global symposium committed to
advancing photonics and electromagnetics for the benefit of humanity.
Light control of material functionalities has emerged as a primary and transformative goal spanning multiple research domains. Beyond its fundamental importance across physics and materials science, achieving precise optical control is a prerequisite for the development of next-generation photonic devices and energy-related technologies. This session focuses on the design, fabrication, and optical characterization of hybrid systems/platforms, where photonic resonators play a pivotal role in realizing highly efficient optical devices in synergy with nanomaterials.
By bringing together experts from a variety of research areas currently addressing these topics, this symposium aims to enhance knowledge transfer within this multidisciplinary community, discuss perspectives and set the stage for next research objectives and technological challenges in the field.
